• Ingrown toe nails (cryptonychia): – sometimes nail grows inside & cuts deeper in nail fold leading to recurrent infection resulting in pain & redness. It often requires removal of lateral side of nail along with chemical matricectomy, so that nail stops growing on that particular side, leading to permanent relief.
• Nail dystrophy: – it presents as discoloured, rough, fragile & split nails. It may be without any reason, or may be secondary to same drug intake or trauma, etc.

Nail surgery
